Last time out, Nakatani (30-0, 23 KOs) comprehensively defeated David Cuellar Contreras by third-round knockout and is frequently mentioned in conversations regarding the best pound-for-pound fighters.
Nishida (10-0, 2 KOs) won the IBF title against Emmanuel Rodriguez and successfully defended it last time out, stopping Anuchai Donsua. “Big Bang” will understandably start as the heavy favourite, but Nishida cannot be overlooked given his defensive astuteness.
