Boxing legend Mike Tyson has made his official pick for the biggest fight of 2025.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

‘Bud’ will jump up two weight classes to challenge the first and only undisputed super middleweight champion, who has been beating up much bigger men for most of his iconic career.

Mike Tyson initially leaned towards a Canelo Alvarez win, but it appears he has now changed his mind.

Mike Tyson’s prediction U-turn

Last month, Tyson revealed who he wants to win when Canelo and Crawford clash for all the 168lb belts.

However, he suggested that the fight will leave him disappointed as his fellow American will lose.

“I want Crawford to win, but it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen,” Tyson said on The Big Podcast.

“I would like for that to happen, but (Canelo) is a hard puncher, he’s a smart fighter, he can move.

“I’m just curious. I just wanna see it. I want to be there and see it. Listen, there’s been upsets like that before, Henry Armstrong at 124lbs he beat the 146lb champion, so you know, you never know.

“Anything can happen when two men are in the ring or on a basketball court, anything can happen.”

On Thursday morning, ESPN released its list of ‘expert picks’ for Canelo vs. Crawford.

Tyson’s prediction was included and showed he has had a change of heart about the fight.

‘Iron Mike’ now believes that Crawford will pull off the upset with a 12-round decision win.

Mike Tyson vs. Floyd Mayweather

Mike Tyson retired from professional boxing after being stopped by Kevin McBride in 2005

Almost two decades later, the 59-year-old returned to face YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Tyson looked like a shadow of his former self as he slumped to a decision defeat in November 2024.

It appeared his career was over for good, until Tyson announced he’ll fight Floyd Mayweather last week.

The boxing legends are set to throw down in an exhibition mismatch at some point in 2026.
