On May 2 in Times Square New York, Rolly Romero vs Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) will headline the historic ‘Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ card. They will be joined by Devin Haney vs Jose Ramirez and Teofimo Lopez vs Arnold Barboza Jr, with Reito Tsutsumi making his debut against Levale Whittington. As we prepare for this historic card, Oscar De La Hoya has spoken to Fight Hub TV, slamming Bill Haney and the damage he’s doing to Devin’s career.
When speaking to Fight Hub TV, De La Hoya didn’t hold back on his assessment of Bill Haney and the harm he feels he’s doing to Devin’s career: “I cannot believe that Devin Haney has not fired his father. How is he still a manager to Haney – he basically almost ruined his career, by suing this and that and this.
“I mean Devin Haney is actually a nice guy. I don’t have anything against him but his father is ruining his potential. It’s amazing. It’s mind-boggling. But I think it’s going to be a great fight against (Jose) Ramirez.
“It’s gonna be a tough fight. I just do not understand being away for a year, okay, getting knocked down several times by Ryan Garcia, what Devin Haney’s confidence level is gonna be like.”
