Born on 5 April 2004, Abdullah Mason is an American boxing professional competing currently in the lightweight division. He is one of the most highly touted boxing prospects with other siblings in the boxing arena. The Mason brothers, also known as the Jackson Five of boxing; Amir, Adel, Abdur-Rahman, Abdullah and Ibrahim travel together across the country, and are all between 17 and 26 years.

The father to the Jackson Five of boxing said that, so as to travel to boxing matches, they had to grind to have enough money and therefore, the Mason’s success didn’t come overnight. Abdullah Mason faces a new replacement, a much older opponent, Carlos ‘Chinto’ Ornelas following withdrawal by Giovanni Cabrera’s from their bout due to injury.

Against Yohan Vazquez, he survived two first round knockdowns and in second round got fierce to stop his opponent. In four rounds, Mason in February knocked out Manuel Jaimes in New York at Denys Berinchyk-Keyshawn Davis bill.

The most battle-tested foe of Mason's pro career will be Ornelas, now 30 years old with extensive experience. Since 2021, January, in his 10-round decision loss to Rafael Espinoza, Ornela (28-4 (15 KOs), is on a three-fight winning streak. On face book, Stephen Coakley shared, “they are steadily building this kid, he is good so far, and he needs some step-up compensation soon; the kid looks great so far” when Abdullah 21 was scheduled to fight with Ornela 30, at Pearl Concert Theater, Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

In a decision win over David Moreno Potrero whose entry to the bout had a record of 16-0-1 Ornelas’ last fight was in December 2023.In 2024, Mason went 5-0 with five stoppages and ascended from a promising prospect to a young contender with great success.
