On Saturday night, live from The Venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Boxing’s biggest star, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs), makes his UAE debut in the first of his four-fight deal with Riyadh Season.
The fight will be for the undisputed super middleweight title as Canelo will face the undefeated IBF champion William Scull (23-0, 9 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round bout. The fight has plenty at stake as Terence Crawford waits in the winds for a September superfight against Canelo should he get past Scull on Saturday night. Boxing has a funny way of ruining a good plan, so it’ll be interesting to see if Canelo, who is a huge betting favorite, can defeat Scull and zero in on Crawford or if Scull wins, forcing an immediate rematch which puts the Crawford fight to 2026.
Per DraftKings SportsBook, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is the favorite at -4000, and William Scull is the underdog at +1500.
Saul “Canelo” Alvarez: TKO/KO -225; Decision +180
Draw: +2800
William Scull: TKO/KO +2200; Decision +3000
These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
