West Virginia basketball has been on a role the past couple of weeks, reeling off seven wins in row since their opening night blowout loss to Texas A&M. The Mountaineers have regained their form of intense Press Virginia defense, hammering opponents as they average 22 turnovers forced a night. The West Virginia offense has been improving each game as well, as their field goal percentage has risen to almost 44 percent as a team. The Mountaineers are taking good shots on productive possessions and then are able to set up their pressure off of made field goals to eliminate opposing team’s fast breaks. Star senior guard Jevon Carter has been a big part of Press Virginia turning it around since an ugly showing in Germany. He solidified his name in the West Virginia basketball record books on Thursday. Carter broke the all-time school record for the most career steals as a Mountaineer. In Thursday’s game against New Jersey Tech, Carter had two steals in the first half, to tie and then break former Mountaineer
