Duquesne guard Megan McConnell showed out on Monday, leading Dan Burt’s Duquesne squad to an opening-night win over Princeton. McConnell turned in a 24-point performance, going 10 for 16 from the field and 4 for 8 from three-point land.
Megan McConnell, or “Meg,” as she’s known around Duquesne, is not your ordinary five-foot-seven guard. McConnell, who shares a last name with some of the city’s all-time great hoopers, stands at fifth place on Duquesne’s all-time rebounding list.
