There was some big news in women’s college basketball on Monday: a former top recruit in the country made a decision about her future in the sport.

She transferred from one of the nation’s top programs to another school in the same conference. While the move wasn’t exactly surprising, it still raised some eyebrows among fans and fellow players.

Then came the reactions. One of the most notable came from Chicago Sky star and former LSU Tigers standout Angel Reese. Reese, who won a national title with Kim Mulkey and the Tigers before heading to the WNBA, had something to say.

Angel Reese had this to say on Aaylah Del Rosario's commitment post: "ouu i like this for you! happy for you Lele"

Del Rosario spent two seasons with the LSU Tigers. In 2023-24, she played in 37 games and averaged 11.2 minutes per game.

She scored 4.7 points per game. This past season, 2024-25, her time was lowered to just 6.4 minutes per game.

Before coming to play for Kim Mulkey, she was one of the top recruits in the nation. Playing at the Webb School in Tennessee, she helped her squad earn back-to-back state titles. She was also on the Naismith High School All-America team.

Del Rosario was also part of the 2022 FIBA U18 World Cup in Argentina, where her team took home a gold medal.

She is one of five Tigers who left the program following the season. Sa'Myah Smith announced her intention to leave on March 31.

Last-Tear Poa was next, before Del Rosario made her announcement.  Jersey Wolfenbarger and Amani Bartlett were the other two to leave Baton Rouge.
