The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports on all of the top prospects at every position in this year's class.
Here's everything you need to know about Bowling Green tight end Harold Fannin Jr. heading into the 2025 draft:
Height: 6-3
Weight: 241
Age: 20
A big-play machine for the Falcons, Fannin Jr. put up massive numbers in 2024 thanks to the athleticism and explosiveness that made life a nightmare for opposing defenders down the field. His straight-line speed and acceleration makes him a dangerous vertical threat, as well as an after-the-catch merchant who can turn any short catch into a highlight-reel touchdown. Fannin is a smart, instinctive route-runner who knows how to exploit his leverage in man coverage, while also being adept at feeling out soft spots in zones and giving his quarterback an easy target. He’s reliable at the catch point, with solid hands that aren’t terribly susceptible to focus drops.
Undersized for the position, Fannin might find difficulty against bigger, more physical defenders in the NFL, particularly when trying to win his releases at the line of scrimmage against tight coverage. That lack of ideal size also shows up in his inconsistency as a blocker, which could limit his role and scheme fits at the next level as simply a pass-catching specialist who spends most of his time lined up out wide. He’s much more comfortable challenging opposing defenses vertically than he is creating separation on complex intermediate routes.

A linebacker recruit who went ignored by major programs, Fannin put up some of the best numbers the FBS has ever seen from a tight end in 2024. His lack of size will likely limit him to a pass-catching specialist role at the next level, but he’s so dynamic and explosive that his receiving value alone gives him a ton of upside in an offense that will look to create mismatches in the passing game and let him do what he does best.
