It's a great year to need a tight end, with the 2025 NFL Draft class having so many intriguing options available.
Multiple will be in Mobile, Alabama, for the 2025 Senior Bowl. Below are three players at the position you should watch closely this week as they compete to show NFL teams who has the skills to become a reliable pro.

Mason Taylor didn't find the endzone often at LSU (four in 2024) but its easy to see why so many believe his best football is in front of him. His football IQ shines in how he opperates when plays break down, I'm sure being the son of an NFL Hall of Famer (Jason Taylor) has helped him in that area. If you have a young quarterback, Taylor seems poised to be the security blanket so many teams desire.
If you were to name the best individual performances from the 2024 College Football season, you could only name a handful of players before Bowling Green’s Harold Fannin Jr. He led the entire FBS with 117 catches and 1,555 yards as well as finding the endzone 11 total times, 10 of which were receiving. He's undersized at TE but his proven track record as a pass catcher is second to none in this class. He’s someone who could be dominant this week during one-on-ones and has the ability to be the single best player on the field.
Fresh off a College Football Playoff appearance Texas’ Gunnar Helm finished up far and away the best year of his career. To be honest it was the only year of real production in his career. His 60 receptions, 786 yards and seven touchdowns were more than his previous three seasons combined. But his 2024 film has arguably the best run blocking highlight reel of anyone in this class. And his significant improvements as a route runner throughout the season makes him someone I'm excited to see compete this week.
