BYU Wide Receiver Gunner Romney declares for the NFL Draft. After playing five years for the Cougars he is chasing his dreams of playing in the NFL. Romney joins Jaren Hall, Puka Nacua, Harris LaChance, Payton Wilgar, and Lorenzo Fauatea.

Gunner Romney

Gunner Romney senior wide receiver 6-2 195 lbs. In his career he has played in 44 games with 122 receptions for 1959 yards and nine touchdowns. He rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown. Romney has struggled to stay healthy when playing for the Cougars.

Starting in 2018 the Cougars played in nine games and started in four. 13 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns. In 2019 he played in all 13 games with only one start. Romney had 31 receptions for 377 yards and two touchdowns. 2020 he played and started in 10 games. He had 39 receptions for 767 yards and two touchdowns. Last year he played and started in 10 games for the Cougars. Romney had 34 receptions for 594 yards and three touchdowns. His final season as a Cougar he played in two games had 59 yards on five receptions. This came after he had an injury early in camp and then struggled to stay healthy this year.
