Deion Sanders has completely turned around the Colorado Buffaloes football program in just two seasons. After inheriting a team that went 1-11 in 2022, he led them to a 4-8 finish last year and an impressive 9-3 record in 2024.

But with success often comes challenges, including other programs looking to poach talent from your staff. On Saturday, as Buffs star Travis Hunter awaited the Heisman Trophy announcement, Noles247’s Zach Blostein reported that Colorado is losing a key off-the-field staff member.

Devin Rispress, the team’s assistant director of player personnel and high school relations, is reportedly leaving the program to go to Florida State.

"Noles247 has learned that Norvell is expected to hire Devin Rispress as an addition to FSU's off field recruiting staff," Blostein wrote.

Rispress, a Tallahassee native, is returning home. He was born and raised in Florida’s capital and coached high school football in the area. Before joining Sanders’ staff at Colorado in January, Rispress worked as Florida A&M’s director of recruiting.

His strong Florida connections will be a big boost for Florida State head coach Mike Norvell, who is looking to bounce back from a 2-10 season. The Seminoles currently hold the 20th-ranked recruiting class for 2025, and the addition of Rispress could help strengthen their efforts.
