The 2026 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports for all of this year's top prospects.
Georgia's Monroe Freeling is one of the top offensive tackle prospects in this year's class, bringing an impressive blend of size, power and athleticism to the table. After a stellar 2025 campaign for the Bulldogs, Freeling has launched himself into the first-round conversation, and could push to be the first tackle off the board.
Here's everything NFL fans need to know about Freeling heading into this year's draft:
Height: 6-7
Weight: 315
Age: 21
A smooth and explosive athlete for the position, Freeling’s lateral movement looks effortless at times, as he glides into his pass sets and always feels one step ahead of rushers coming off the edge. His tall frame and massive wingspan present constant challenges for defenders who are forced to take the scenic route to the quarterback, and he shows a strong understanding of how to attack various moves and counters to avoid giving up clean shots at the passer. He can climb to the second level effectively, engaging back-seven defenders with his size and length and erasing them from the play. He’s a nasty finisher who plays hard through the whistle, and he shows the football IQ to read stunts and twists effectively.
Freeling still needs some technical polish, most prominently his ability to consistently match his hand usage and his footwork. He can get out in front of his skis too often, lunging to make blocks instead of keeping his balance and maintaining a solid base. Freeling’s somewhat lean frame gives up some punch in the run game, and he can struggle to keep his pads low, losing the leverage battle against defenders with a more solid base. Adding some quality bulk would help improve his strength in the run game, as well as his ability to absorb bull rushes.
A fast-rising prospect after an impressive 2025 campaign, Freeling’s size and athleticism gives him a ton of upside, and some technical tweaks could quickly turn him into a quality starter at the next level. For teams with offensive schemes that prioritize the movement skills he brings to the table, Freeling could become a Pro Bowler after he adds some strength and polish.
