The 2025-26 Oregon Ducks football staff looks a little different than last season.
Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning promoted multiple members of the Oregon football staff. Ducks tight ends coach Drew Mehringer will now be co-offensive coordinator. Current staffer Rashad Wadood will coach cornerbacks, staffer Kamran Araghi will coach the EDGE position and Koa Ka’ai is assistant quarterbacks coach.
Former Oregon assistant offensive line coach Cutter Leftwich is returning as the Ducks’ assistant offensive line coach and run game coordinator. Leftwich spent the 2024 season with North Texas as the Mean Green’s offensive line coach.
“We are excited about our coaching staff as we prepare for the spring and the 2025 season,” Lanning said, per the athletic department. “Our staff does a tremendous job of prioritizing the student-athlete experience and making sure we are putting our players in a position to succeed, both on and off the field. I look forward to seeing guys like Drew, Rashad, Kamran and Koa thrive in expanded roles, and we are thrilled to welcome Cutter back to our program to assist with our offensive line.”
Lanning's new wide receivers coach Ross Douglas is already off to a hot start. Douglas, who was previously with the Syracuse Orange as their wide receivers coach, is pursuing four-star wide receiver Messiah Hampton, who he had already built a relationship with in New York. The 6'1, 180-pound recruit in the Class of 2026 plays his high school ball at James Monroe in Rochester, New York.
It's an exciting time for Lanning's Ducks as the 2025 NFL Draft could be record-setting. There were eight Ducks drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, which set a new program record. 2025 NFL mock drafts list 10-11 Ducks selected, which would break that record.
Oregon is led by projected first-round picks Josh Conerly Jr. and Derrick Harmon. However, Ducks receiver Tez Johnson, quarterback Dillon Gabriel, tight end Terrance Ferguson and linebacker Jeffrey Bassa are named as biggest NFL Draft risers after the Senior Bowl.
"Now our goal is to see how high every one of those guys can get drafted. Unbelievable humans that are also great football players, that some NFL team is going to be really lucky to have," Lanning toldDuck Insider.
Here is the full staff, per the athletic department.
