The NCAA Transfer Portal has been as active as ever over the past few days, but all eyes are on a quarterback who has shown no signs of entering his name into it.

Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers is looking to solidify himself as a program legend by leading the team to a win over the No. 8 seed Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff semifinal on Friday. While reports throughout the year have indicated that Ewers is expected to declare for the NFL draft, rumors have surfaced that he has a NIL offer of $6 million to return to college but to transfer.

Prior to Friday's game at the Cotton Bowl, an interview between ESPN's Pete Thamel and Ewers aired, which saw Thamel ask Ewers if he expects to be playing college football next season. A question that he answered fairly quickly and emphatically.

"No, I don't," Ewers replied

As revealed by Thamel later on in the show, Ewers is viewed by some NFL personnel as a second-round pick, while others view him as a sixth-round pick type of player.

Regardless of where he is projected, he will have a chance to boost his stock in what is a weak quarterback class. It also helps that names like Carson Beck, who transferred to Miami, and Penn State's Drew Allar are returning to college.

On the year, Ewers has thrown for 3,189 yards with 29 touchdowns and 11 picks. He has battled through injuries and rumors that Arch Manning would overtake him for the starting role en route to leading Texas to a second straight College Football Playoff.

So, keeping in mind what he said, there is a possibility that Friday is his final college football game.
