Tennessee Vols RB Cam Seldon looks absolutely massive at start of spring football practice
Saul Young/News Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK

For those reading the tea leaves about the Tennessee Vols' offseason and looking for hope, look no further than the frame of Tennessee running back Cam Seldon.

The rising sophomore out of Browns Store, Virginia looks absolutely massive, as evidenced by a photograph of him on the practice field on Tuesday as the Vols ramp up their spring practices.

Tennessee's offseason conditioning program certainly appears to be working, given the way Seldon showed up to camp.

Seldon appears to be in line to work with rising junior Dylan Sampson as the Vols' top two options at tailback this fall.  Both had productive showings in the Vols' 35-0 Citrus Bowl victory after Jabari Small and Jaylen Wright both sat out in preparation for the NFL Draft.  Sampson ran for 133 yards on 20 carries while Seldon added 55 more on 13 rushes.

There's little doubt that the Vols got a lot out of their three-headed monster of a rushing attack last year, with the electric Wright becoming the first Tennessee back since Jalen Hurd in 2015 to eclipse the 1000-yard rushing mark. There's plenty of talent in the room this year, with blazing freshman Peyton Lewis joining the fold.

However, if the Vols need a tough yard on third or fourth and short, it appears they've certainly got the back to do it.
