Tennessee Volunteers keep flip season going with another huge commitment snatch from an SEC program on Monday

The Tennessee Volunteers have had a very good past week. They knocked off the Syracuse Orange on Saturday 45-26, showing an offensive explosion that's been absent for a while against a Power Four program.

They also managed to secure the commitment of five-star and #1 wide receiver Tristen Keys from the 2026 class late last week, getting him to flip from the LSU Tigers to the Vols.

Now, the good times continue rolling for Josh Heupel and the Big Orange on the recruiting trail. According to On3 Sports' Hayes Fawcett, four-star edge rusher Hezekiah Harris has changed his commitment from the Auburn Tigers to the Vols.

Harris hails from Huntsville, Alabama, and that's notable as far as the location between Tennessee and Auburn. It's located right between the two cities - 211 miles from each, so it's a very comparable distance from home. As such, the distance factor wasn't a hard sell in any way from Heupel.

Harris is a four-star recruit, the #99 overall player, #15 edge rusher, and #7 player in the state of Alabama for the 2026 cycle. His list of offers is a who's who in the sport, including Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, LSU, Penn State, Oregon, USC, Ole Miss, Miami, Florida, Texas A&M, Florida State, and many others.

Tennessee has gotten strong play from its defensive line, and that continued on Saturday, as the Vols generated five sacks of Syracuse QB Steve Angeli seven tackles for loss, and steady pressure throughout the afternoon. The Vols' defensive front was arguably the best in the SEC and one of the best in the sport last year, so it's an area that shouldn't be a tough sell for Heupel and his staff recently.

Obviously, it's not, as the Vols continue to stack an area of strength with top tier talent.
