For just the third time this century, No. 16 USC and Wisconsin are set to collide on the gridiron this Saturday. The Trojans are coming off a White-Out win over Penn State in Week 6, while the Badgers are looking to bounce back from their 17-7 loss at No. 12 UCLA last Saturday.
Ahead of the Week 8 matchup, the early point spread and more have been revealed. All odds are courtesy of Polymarket. USC has opened as a 1.5-point road favorite over Wisconsin, while the over/under has been set at 49.5 points. Traders say USC currently has a 55% chance of winning the game, and give them a 51% chance of covering the spread.
The last meeting between USC (then ranked No. 13) and Wisconsin, which took place on Sept. 28, 2024 in Los Angeles, saw the Trojans come out on top 38-21. USC quarterback Miller Moss passed for 308 yards and three touchdowns in the win. They lead the all-time series 7-1, but the programs have split the past two meetings. USC is looking to extend its Big Ten game win streak to three, while Wisconsin is seeking its third conference win of the year.

USC has bounced back nicely since its disappointing 41-27 home loss to No. 20 Oregon on Sept. 26, racking up wins over Washington (25-21) and Penn State (31-23) ahead of their bye-week. Coming off the bye, the Trojans now head into the final stretch of the regular season. Following their matchup with Wisconsin this Saturday, Lincoln Riley‘s team is slated to face the top-three teams in the Big Ten over their final four games (No. 3 Ohio State, No. 6 Indiana, and No. 9 UCLA).
Wisconsin had won five consecutive games heading into last Saturday’s clash with the Bruins. If it came out on top, the Badgers likely would have returned to the AP Poll for the first time since Sept. 2023. However, it scored just seven points in the 10-point loss. Wisconsin needs to win at least two of its final six games to clinch bowl eligibility, which it has failed to do in the past two seasons.
