Pitt running back Desmond Reid is small in stature but big in impact and could make his mark as a potential late-round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. At 5'6" and 174 pounds, Reid came to Pitt via Western Carolina and was an instant difference maker for the Panthers. He was an Associated Press Second-Team All-American in 2024 in addition to being a first-team All-ACC selection as an all-purpose back and return specialist. For his career, he finished his time in Pittsburgh with 2,404 all-purpose yards and 15 all-purpose scores. Of those 2,404 all-purpose yards, 1,244 were rushing yards; 896 yards came via the passing game on 75 career receptions, and he racked up 264 yards on punt returns. Analytically, his best metrics came in 2024 when he earned a 75.9 rushing grade from Pro Football Focus. Reid only played in 7 games in 2025 due to injury but still managed 700 all-purpose yards.
