TCU was ready for North Carolina. And I’m not just talking about the football team, which embarrassed the Tar Heels on Monday night during a 48-14 victory. The Horned Frogs social media has been working overtime through the night to take advantage of the situation.
The onslaught on X (formerly Twitter) has been consistent and brutal since the game concluded. And it hasn’t all been spontaneous, as proven by this video that was released last night. This took time and effort to piece together:
There are a few notable parts of this video, with one of them being an inside look of head coach Sonny Dykes speaking to his team regarding the upcoming game.
“Good football coach. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him,” said Dykes, referring to UNC head coach Bill Belichick. “He had a great career. He ain’t going to make one play. You guys are going to be the difference in the football game. This is a player’s game. Big time players make big time plays in big time games. We’re going to win the game on Monday because we have great players.”
Aside from original content, the social media team has also been busy responding to previous posts, such as this one:
This is life in 2025 and TCU is making the most of it. They had to deal with this back in September of 2023 when they traveled to Colorado to take on the Buffaloes for head coach Deion Sanders’ first game. That game ended with the Horned Frogs losing 45-42. They were ready this time, both on the field and as a program. And they deserve the time to enjoy it.
