Rising UDFA Makes Promise to Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers sought to bulk up their secondary group by signing Notre Dame defensive back Max Hurleman. Hurleman was an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame who spent five years as a college football player, with four years at FCS Colgate University before spending his graduate season with Notre Dame.

The Steelers have made a handful of roster moves after their rookie minicamp. Three of those moves involve running backs. As reported on Sunday, they have signed 2021 49ers third-round pick Trey Sermon and they also signed Max Hurleman.
