Per On3's Pete Nakos, former Jacksonville State and UConn quarterback Zion Turner is transferring to the Marshall Thundering Herd. He made one appearance with the Gamecocks in 2024.
Following one season with the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, quarterback Zion Turner will enter the transfer portal for a second consecutive year. He made one appearance for Jax State in 2024.
In 2022, Zion Turner led the Huskies to a 6-7 record which included a bowl appearance. Turner threw for 1,407 yards, nine touchdowns and ten interceptions.
Last week, UConn quarterback Zion Turner entered the transfer portal. Turner, a Florida native who went to Fort Lauderdale's St. Thomas Aquinas, where he totaled a 37-2 record. Turner chose UConn after holding plenty of power five offers.
