The Saint Louis Billikens didn’t need a perfect start to show why they’ve become one of the most complete teams in the Atlantic 10. Even with VCU jumping out to a 20–8 lead behind early buckets from Luka Djokovic and Jadrian Tracey, Saint Louis stayed composed.
Saint Louis has had seven consecutive games postponed and then dropped to 7-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play with a 76-71 loss to the Dayton Flyers this past Tuesday. Before that contest, the Billikens hadn't competed since Dec. 23.
Saint Louis remains scheduled to play against the La Salle Explorers on Jan. 6. However, multiple men's and women's programs that previously paused activities remained idle for two weeks.
