Hardik Pandya has told the world about his new business venture, which is quite a big deal, although the full import of his statement and its implications have mostly been missed by the general public. The very post on social media indirectly gives away the fact that he is no longer with RISE, the agency that has been with him for twelve years.

RISE Worldwide Ltd, which is the sports and lifestyle division of the Reliance Group, has always and everywhere been the commercial representative of Pandya in the course of his entire career as a player. However, about a month ago, the newly crowned India all-rounder set up all independently of his own and made a major shift in the representation and management of his professional self.

Krunal, Pandya’s brother, has also been a part of this new business venture, which he has similarly left RISE. The siblings are now in a transition phase as they step into the future not only as business partners but also managing their respective commercial and business interests, which used to be under the sports management division of Reliance Industries, through a long-standing relationship.

Hardik Pandya currently captains the Mumbai Indians

The departure of Hardik Pandya from RISE does not seem to affect his position as captain of Mumbai Indians, the IPL franchise he is leading, in the short term. While an MI spokesperson did not comment, sources said that the company is still open to supporting Pandya in his future ventures. The change in Pandya’s professional support is monumental as he is moving towards independent control of his business.

The new venture of Pandya is the Hardik Pandya Family Office, which is overseen by Out of the Park, a celebrity management company founded by Ritesh Nath. Nath has a long background in talent management, having been with Cornerstone, which is a big celebrity management firm and represented many cricketers. Pandya made the announcement on November 26: “I’m excited to share that I’m officially setting up my family office to bring all my business ventures, investments, and off-field commitments under one unified version. This is an important step towards building long-term meaningful opportunities on and off the field and I could not be more thrilled about what is ahead. I’m partnering with an incredible team of Out of the Park who will now manage and oversee all my business interests.”

RISE is still the best in the business of talent management and is working with the best cricket players of India, such as Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan, and Sai Sudharsan. Meanwhile, Pandya was not available for comment.
