Mumbai Indians defeated the Gujarat Titans by 99 runs in Match No.30 of the Indian Premier League 2026. Chasing 200, the Titans were dismissed for 100 runs in 15.5 overs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Washington Sundar was the top scorer for GT, amassing 26 runs in 17 balls, laced with five boundaries. The chase started on a disastrous note, with Sai Sudharsan returning to the dressing room on the first ball of the second innings, bowled by Jasprit Bumrah. Shubman Gill (14), Jos Buttler (5), Glenn Phillips (6), Rahul Tewatia (8), Shahrukh Khan (17) and Rashid Khan (4) failed with the bat. Ashwani Kumar took 4 wickets while Mitchell Santner picked up two scalps.
Earlier, Tilak Varma's unbeaten 101 runs took MI's score to 199 for 5. He faced 45 balls and hit 8 boundaries and 7 maximums at a strike rate of 224.44. Naman Dhir (45 off 22) also made important contributions.
Kagiso Rabada took three wickets for GT.
