20 celebrity duos you didn’t know are related by marriage

Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery has one of the funniest people in the U.K. as her sister-in-law: Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Docker is married to Phoebe’s brother, Jasper Waller-Bridge. 

Jamie Bell and Joaquin Phoenix are related by marriage with the Mara sisters serving as the conduit. Bell is married to Kate Mara while Phoenix is married to Rooney Mara. 

Jake Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard are related by marriage, too. Sarsgaard is married to Jake’s sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal. The couple have been married since 2009.
