Stingray is taking its music and video experiences to the next level. The Montreal-based media and technology company just launched six free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels on The Roku Channel in the United States and Canada, giving millions of viewers access to curated content designed for relaxation, wellness, and inspiration—no subscription required.

A New Wave of Streaming Experiences

The six new channels add to Stingray’s growing portfolio on The Roku Channel. Among the offerings is Stingray Cozy Café, blending lo-fi beats with trendy coffeehouse visuals for focus and relaxation, and Stingray Naturescape, featuring immersive views of the world’s scenic wonders.

Other additions include ZenLIFE by Stingray with meditation content, Stingray Stargaze for cosmic escapes, Stingray Cityscapes with aerial views of iconic cities, and Stingray Free Riding, which delivers extreme sports action set against breathtaking backdrops.

Expanding a Strong Partnership

Rick Bergan, Stingray’s head of content distribution in the U.S., emphasized the significance of the expansion. “This launch significantly expands our audience and provides The Roku Channel users with access to premium content designed for every mood,” he said in a press release. From the chill vibes of Cozy Café to the adrenaline rush of Free Riding, the channels are positioned to enhance viewers’ daily routines.

This rollout builds on Stingray’s existing success with The Roku Channel, where audiences already tune into TikTok Radio, Qello Concerts, and music channels like Classic Rock and Remember the ’80s.

Why It Matters

The surge in FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) channels has become one of the fastest-growing corners of streaming. With platforms like Pluto TV and Tubi already pulling in millions of viewers, Roku has quickly positioned itself as a leader in the space. By adding Stingray’s curated channels, Roku isn’t just giving viewers more free content — it’s tapping into lifestyle-driven programming that caters to how people actually use TV today: as background entertainment for working, relaxing, or socializing.

For Stingray, this expansion marks another step in redefining how music and ambient content reach audiences. Instead of competing with subscription-based platforms like Spotify or Netflix, Stingray is betting on the “lean back” model—channels you can turn on without choosing a playlist or scrolling endlessly for something to watch.

This launch signals where streaming is heading: curated experiences tailored to mood, not just genre. Whether you want lo-fi beats in your home office, a nature escape after work, or adrenaline-fueled sports while hanging out with friends, Stingray’s new offerings represent the growing trend of integrating streaming into everyday life.

Where to Watch

The six new Stingray channels are now available in the Entertainment section of The Roku Channel guide. They can be streamed across Roku devices, the web, iOS and Android apps, Amazon Fire TV, and select Samsung smart TVs.

For Stingray, the expansion strengthens its reach as one of the largest global providers of music and video content, already serving 540 million consumers in 160 countries. For viewers, it means six new ways to tune out stress, find inspiration, or simply enjoy a moment of escape—all at the push of a button.
