A head's up to the David Bowie fans out there with some space available to store physical media. There is a new end-of-career box set coming this fall. It's called "I Can't Give Everything Away (2002-2016)", a stretch of Bowie's iconic output that ended with his death in January of 2016. In addition to a digital release, "I Can't Give Everything Away" will be released in a set of 18 LPs. Yes, 18 LPS. Or you can get it on 13 CDs if you prefer.
Included in the collection is Bowie's last album "Blackstar," which came out literally days before he died. There are also remastered versions of "Heathen," "Reality," and "The Next Day," a couple live concert sets, and most intriguingly, a collection of 41 rarities that include songs getting released on physical media for the first time.
One song from the box set, a live version of "New Killer Star" recorded in 2003, has been released already.
For those who opt for the physical box set, you will get a book of notes, drawings, and handwritten lyrics for your effort. "I Can't Give Everything Away" will be released on September 12. That gives you time to clear out some shelf space.
