Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi release single 'Just Look Up' ahead of 'Don't Look Up' release

In Adam McKay's "Don't Look Up," Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi play pop star Riley Bina and DJ Chello, respectively, and at some point in the sci-fi dramedy, they perform an original song called "Just Look Up."

The single was released Friday.

"Don't Look Up" follows Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), two low-level astronomers, who have discovered a comet directly headed to Earth and primed to destroy mankind. They set out on a media tour to warn everyone, butting up against a very casually skeptical President Janie Orlean (Meryl Streep) and Jason Orlean (Jonah Hill). Morning television hosts Jack Bremmer (Tyler Perry) and Brie Evantee (Cate Blanchett) laugh them off the set, and the news cycle is dominated by the relationship status of Chello and Riley.

Timothée Chalamet, Michael Chiklis, Melanie Lynskey, Rob Morgan, Ron Perlman and Mark Rylance also star.

The film debuts in select theaters next Friday (Dec. 10) before hitting Netflix on Dec. 24. Watch the trailer below.
