Prime Video is giving audiences a one-way ticket to romance with Lasse Hallström's The Map That Leads To You, based on the novel by J.P. Monninger.
The Map That Leads to You follows Heather, a young woman setting off on an adventure across Europe with her best friends before settling into her perfectly planned life. When she crosses paths with Jack, a magnetic and mysterious stranger, their instant spark ignites an emotional journey neither of them expected. As their connection deepens, secrets, life choices, and hidden truths will test their bond—and change her life in ways she never imagined.
The movie stars Josh Lucas, KJ Apa, Madelyn Cline, Madison Thompson, Sofia Wylie, and Orlando Norman. The screenplay was done by Vera Herbert and Les Bohem, who also wrote the story.
Producers include Martin Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, John Fischer, and Isaac Klausner. Hal Sadoff and Matt Luber executive produce.
Josh Lucas is known for films such as Sweet Home Alabama, Ford v Ferrari, American Psycho, The Lincoln Lawyer, A Beautiful Mind, and Glory Road. He was recently in Palm Royale and Yellowstone.
Apa is widely recognized for his role as Archie Andrews on The CW's Riverdale, which concluded after seven seasons in 2023. Other credits include I Still Believe, One Fast Move, Songbird, The Last Summer, and A Dog's Purpose.
Cline will next be seen in I Know What You Did Last Summer. She currently stars on Outer Banks, which is filming its fifth and final season.
Thompson portrayed Erin Pierce on Netflix's Ozark. Wylie's notable work includes High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, The School for Good and Evil, and Andi Mack. Norman has been in Eric, Sebastian, and his short film, Dipsomaniac.
The Map That Leads To You will debut globally on August 20.
