Two of HGTV’s most high-profile stars are heading for the exit, at least for now.

According to multiple reports, the network has canceled both Christina on the Coast and The Flipping El Moussas, ending the latest chapters in Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa’s home renovation empires.

Christina on the Coast, which wrapped its fifth season in March, followed Haack and her team as they transformed outdated homes into modern dream properties. The show also featured Haack’s ex-husband, Josh Hall, during the first half of Season 5 before the couple filed for divorce in July 2024.

Meanwhile, The Flipping El Moussas wrapped its second season in May. That series followed Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, as they tackled Southern California’s competitive real estate market while navigating their own personal milestones, including welcoming a new baby.

While HGTV hasn’t officially commented on the cancellations, US Weekly and People were first to report the news.

Both shows join a growing list of series recently axed by the network, including Bargain Block, Married to Real Estate, Farmhouse Fixer, Izzy Does It, and Battle on the Beach.

The fate of Haack’s other show, Christina in the Country, remains unclear. Its second season premiered in November 2024, but HGTV has yet to announce any plans for future episodes.

For years, Haack and El Moussa helped fuel HGTV’s home renovation boom, first teaming up on Flip or Flop before branching out into their own solo projects. Their shows became fan favorites thanks to a mix of real estate hustle, high-stakes design projects, and glimpses into their personal lives.

But as HGTV shifts its programming strategy, even some of its most recognizable stars aren’t immune to the chopping block. Whether this is the end of the road or just a pause remains to be seen, but for now, it looks like HGTV is flipping the script.
