Erin Moriarty calls 'The Boys' co-star Jack Quaid "my literal hero"

The Boys star Erin Moriarty is sharing some goodbye sentiments to commemorate the final season, which has just wrapped production.

"honestly, f--- 'don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.' the tears have begun. the posts are incoming," she wrote on Instagram. "I said goodbye to most of my work family today and I’ll be ready to smile about it when I’m ready to smile about it. to my Boys fam: love you, c----. forever."

The actress has portrayed Annie January, aka Starlight, since the first season, which premiered back in July 2019. The show is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who are both executive producers along with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, Judalina Neira, Ken F. Levin, and Jason Netter.

"gn AJ. ily," she expressed. "[Jack Quaid] really did come in and change my life with encouragement (and a million other things). you’re my literal hero, dude. more tributes and memories to come, giving my heart a breather first."

Quaid commented, "Love you so much Erin! Congrats. Happy f----- wrap!" Executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke made sure to remind her, "We still have the press tour. THE PRESS TOUR!!"

The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful.

While you wait for more emotional tributes and memories, you can watch seasons 1 - 4 on Prime Video.
