Even Angela Bassett's sister is mad over over Bobby's death on '9-1-1'

As fans count down the days until ABC's 9-1-1 returns to our TVs in the fall, they can't help but wonder how the first full season without Peter Krause's Captain Bobby Nash will work. 

"My sister’s one of the fans, and she won’t stop talking about it," Angela Bassett, who stars as Athena Grant and executive produces, told TODAY.com. "She is mad," adding that her sister will say, "It don’t make sense … Is he coming back?"

Bobby was shockingly killed off last season after contracting a deadly virus during a two-part episode event. "I have to keep his memory alive in some way,” she concludes. "I’m making no promises. I’m wondering just like you, just like the fans." 

As for how her character will be handling the loss, the actress explained to Us Weekly, "I don’t think it’s going to be, you know, that real sad, sad grieving sort of process that we’re used to seeing."
