Fallout was easily one of the best shows of 2024. And now, it’s coming for 2025 as well. Fallout season two will release this December… and if this first Fallout season two teaser trailer is anything to judge by, the second chapter of the show will NOT be messing around. In fact, watching this Fallout season two trailer literally had our heads exploding with glee. They just don’t make them like Fallout often. The Ghoul, Lucy, Maximus, Hank MacLean, they are all there and all back. But they’re not the only ones, the Fallout teaser trailer introduces us to a brand new character, Robert House… and a brand new live-action creature, the Deathclaw. Our bodies are ready to be radiated with goodness. You can check out the Fallout season two teaser trailer below.
We know that Fallout is heading to New Vegas in season two, and we are more than excited to catch glimpses of the iconic location in this trailer. It’s looking right out of the video game. But what awaits us in New Vegas? The Fallout season two trailer gives us a clue, the mysterious Mr. House played by Justin Theroux… and a lot of goodness plucked right from the Fallout: New Vegas game. Judging by the season two teaser trailer, it looks like Mr. Robert House may well be the prominent villain in this season of Fallout.
Of course, we hope the second season of Fallout won’t pick one New Vegas ending to make canon over the others. But we’ll have to wait for more than a Fallout season two teaser trailer to get an answer to that burning question. We will say, Prime Video’s Fallout series handled becoming a part of the franchise and game’s canon really well in season one. So we have high hopes. Additionally, “some of the favorite locations from the game” will be featured.
For now, though, we’re just happy with what we do get to see. And that’s more of Walton Goggins’ The Ghoul/Cooper Howard. The Ghoul is one of those rare perfect characters who is such a gray area antihero, but also obviously the main character. It’s a really joyous occasion when those two positions can collide. Of course, Fallout‘s teaser trailer reminds us the past is as important as the present in season two as it swings us forward and backward in time. The question of “What do you do when your spouse is planning nuclear war?” will be a major one in the season.
One thing we really want to see more of in season two, though, is the relationship between the now-dead Moldaver, played by Sarita Choudhury, and Lucy’s mother. We are BEGGING for a queer romance. But again, we’ll have to wait. Ghoulcy shippers (That’s the name for the proposed romance between The Ghoul and Lucy) don’t have to wait though. This Fallout season two trailer gives them everything they want. Ella Purnell shares of Fallout season two, “A central question of the season is whether Lucy will transform the Ghoul or will the Ghoul transform Lucy.”
The synopsis for Fallout season two shares, “The new season will pick up in the aftermath of Season One’s epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. Season Two will premiere this December exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.“
Fallout stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets, Sweetpea), Aaron Moten (Emancipation, Father Stu), Walton Goggins (The White Lotus, The Righteous Gemstones), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), and Frances Turner (The Boys). Fallout is based on “one of the greatest video game series of all time” and shares “the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”
This Fallout season two teaser trailer is only the beginning. Fallout streams on Prime Video.
