Jonathan Bailey says there's "a real sense of brotherly pride" that he feels when it comes to 'Bridgerton'

Despite Anthony finding the love of his life in season 2, Jonathan Bailey has no plans to leave Bridgerton. Instead, he'll be there to support his on-screen siblings as their romances unfold in the coming seasons.

"I've never been someone who's like, 'Thanks, bye.' It’s not in my nature," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "There’s a real sense of brotherly pride I feel in it."

The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down -- until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball.

The actor recently wrapped filming for the highly anticipated fourth season, which is based on Julia Quinn’s Offer from a Gentleman and focuses on Luke Thompson's Benedict Bridgerton. "I was filming a wedding on a Monday morning," Bailey shared before pausing. "People know that people get married in Bridgerton — that’s not a spoiler, right?"

"I got sent it and I nearly didn’t audition," Bailey admitted. "At that time, I was really done. I just needed to go and experience the world."

The rest of the cast will include Sophie Baek, Jonathan Bailey, Victor Alli, Adjoa Andoh, Julie Andrews, Lorraine Ashbourne, Masali Baduza, Nicola Coughlan, Hannah Dodd, Daniel Francis, Ruth Gemmell, Florence Hunt, Martins Imhangbe, Claudia Jessie, Luke Newton, Golda Rosheuvel, Will Tilston, Polly Walker, Emma Naomi, and Hugh Sachs. Simone Ashley is set to reprise her role as Kate Bridgerton in the new season, while Isabella Wei as Posy Li, Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, and Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun join.

"I look forward to, in another however many years, when we’ve done the eighth season to sit around and be like, 'Look what we all did together,'" he expressed. After Benedict finds his Lady in Silver, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth will be up next to have their love stories told.

"I know how much I love long-running series," he explained. "I know how important familiarity of character and story and consistency is in these long-running series."

Netflix has already renewed Bridgerton for seasons 5 and 6. The fourth season will include eight episodes and premiere in 2026.
