Margaret Cho has slammed Ellen DeGeneres for being "not nice" to her.
The 56-year-old comic first crossed paths with the former talk show host on the stand-up circuit in the 1980s, so she always found it "really weird" that Ellen would pretend they had never met when she appeared on her eponymous daytime programme.
Speaking on The Kelly Mantle Show, Margaret said: "Ellen was really weird and not nice to me for most of my career.
"I opened for her in the 1980s, when she was a headliner in comedy clubs. Later, when I would do her talk show in the 2000s, she would act like we just met.
"And I'm like, 'B****, what?' That's weird. We go way back. It's so creepy and weird."
Margaret will never forget one particular incident when, after she had attended a David Bowie concert in a "Chinese emperor outfit", the 'Heroes' hitmaker - who died in January 2016 -praised the elaborate costume during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the following day, but his remarks were edited out of the final broadcast.
She said: "It made me so mad.
"The producer, who was a really good friend of mine, had to call and tell me, ‘I can’t believe she did this but she cut it out of the show. But you need to know that he was going on and on about your outfit! God said your name.’
“[It’s] so rude! I don’t know if it was personal, maybe it was [cut] for time. But still, I’m going to take it personally just because I decided to.”
Margaret isn't the only comic to have criticised Ellen because Rosie O'Donnell recently admitted there is still unresolved "stuff" between herself and the Finding Dory star - who she previously accused of pretending she didn't know who she was - but insisted she doesn't bear any "malice" towards her.
Rosie told Us Weekly magazine: “I don’t want to fight against another gay woman. It’s not like we’re tenaciously opposed to each other. We’re just very different people.
"We have had some stuff in the past that we never resolved. And not in any way as, as partners or lovers or anything like that, just as friends and comedians, but I wish her the best. I seriously do."

‘Dexter: Resurrection’: Gemini Killer Twin Twist Revealed
[Warning: The following post contains major spoilers about Dexter: Resurrection Episode 6, “Cats Mouse.”] Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) found himself in double trouble by the end of the latest episode of Dexter: Resurrection. After Mia a.k.a. “Lady Vengeance” (Krysten Ritter) was arrested for her many murders — and one attempt foiled by Dexter — all of Leon Prater’s (Peter Dinklage) crew went into crisis mode. Charley (Uma Thurman) scrambled to gather and calm — or perhaps just control — his secret friends, while Gareth a.k.a. The Gemini Killer (David Dastmalchian) and Al a.k.a. Rapunzel (Eric Stonestreet) worried she might turn them in and needed to be dealt with. Prater, who was in the middle of a publicity stunt (being interviewed by Lesley Stahl and the like), didn’t seem to disagree. Dexter was not a fan of Gareth’s blasé (and sexist) attitude about Mia, and he was especially disgusted by him after looking at photos of Gemini’s victims. There was no code check required for this guy, so Dexter began the chase. Gareth’s uncontrollable narcissism about being number one on the FBI’s Most Wanted List made him easily manipulated by Dexter. After pretending to fanboy over Gemini, he was lured to the kill table in no time. It was easy work for Dexter — too easy; in fact, the only trouble Dexter faced at all was trying to keep the body out of view when Blessing (Ntare Mwine) unexpectedly dropped by to talk about his now-deceased mother once saved him from being enslaved as a child soldier. Soon, Charley arranged for Mia to turn up dead in her cell — just as Angel Batista (David Zayas) was triumphantly marching in with a photo of Dexter to confirm his completely on-point assessment of what happened to her and everyone else — and Prater called for Dexter, er “Red,” to join him and the other surviving serial killers on a helicopter ride to … somewhere. As they waited for Gemini to arrive, Dexter worried the disappearances of Lowell (Neil Patrick Harris) and Gareth, along with Mia’s arrest, might make Prater suspicious of him, but then a car pulled up, and Gareth himself stepped out, alive and well. Dexter quickly surmised that Gemini and his — er, their? — modus operandi has been a twin thing all along, and now he’s going to have an angry brother on his hands, just as Angel begins to close in. The upshot is, Dexter and Harrison (Jack Alcott) are in the best place they’ve ever been after Dexter covered for him by framing Mia for the hotel murder. After Harrison decided he didn’t want to give in to his own bloodlust urges, Dexter promised his son not to try and mold him in his image ever again, and he would help him get past them — the opposite of what Harry (James Remar) did and still does for him. The Lakers could have another undrafted gem on their hands
In a summer dominated by LeBron James and Luka Doncic headlines, the Los Angeles Lakers may have quietly struck gold once again in the UDFA market, this time with former Villanova standout Eric Dixon. After initially agreeing to a two-way contract following the 2024–25 NBA Draft, Dixon’s path to the professional ranks was temporarily delayed due to injury, forcing him to miss Summer League. The Lakers, however, remained invested in the 24-year-old forward, eventually signing him to an Exhibit 10 deal, a move that keeps him in the pipeline and positions him as a potential breakout candidate through the G League. Dixon brings one of the most decorated resumes in college basketball. The 6-foot-8, 255-pound forward led all Division I scorers last season, averaging 23.3 points per game while shooting an impressive 40.7% from beyond the arc on 7.2 attempts per contest, a remarkable transformation for a player once seen as a traditional low-post presence. He concluded his five-year career at Villanova as the school’s all-time leading scorer, finishing with 2,314 points and etching his name into Big East history. While concerns around his age and lateral quickness may have contributed to him being passed over in the draft, Dixon’s refined skill set and ability to stretch the floor make him a strong fit in today’s NBA. He delivered in big moments throughout the season, including a 38-point outburst against Maryland on Nov. 11, and consistently carried the offensive load for the Wildcats. With his Exhibit 10 deal, Dixon is expected to begin the season with the South Bay Lakers, where he’ll aim to prove he’s healthy and ready to make an immediate impact. If he performs as expected, a return to a two-way contract, and possibly NBA minutes, could be on the horizon. The Lakers have developed a reputation for identifying and nurturing overlooked talent, with Austin Reaves and Alex Caruso emerging as prime examples. Dixon, with his offensive versatility and physical readiness, could be next in line. In a loaded Western Conference, unearthing low-cost contributors is more important than ever. Dixon might just be the next hidden gem to emerge from the Lakers’ development pipeline.
Warriors, Josh Giddey Report Surfaces After Jonathan Kuminga Update
The Golden State Warriors have only continued their stalemate with Jonathan Kuminga. While they haven't gone out of their way to re-sign the young wing, they also have made it clear they won't let him go. On July 30, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the last offer Golden State made to Kuminga was promptly turned down. "The Golden State Warriors made another push to retain Jonathan Kuminga over the past several days, but the restricted free agent is continuing to decline their two-year, $45 million contract offer," Charania wrote. While not a cheap offer, Golden State could put more money on the table, but they won't. Since then, there have been reports about potential sign-and-trades, but nothing has materialized, leaving Kuminga and the Warriors in a holding pattern. Among everything going down between Kumigna and the Warriors, NBA Insider Jake Fischer revealed on Bleacher Report's Live Stream that they have interest in Chicago Bulls wing Josh Giddey and could use the Kuminga situation to get them the former lottery pick. "I can report that there have been multiple teams that have reached out to Josh Giddey's representation about having interest in Josh Giddey," Fischer said. "Golden State is one of them. Golden State would be interested, depending on how the machinations could go in some type of Josh Giddey-Jonathan Kuminga sign-and-trade, to my understanding." Kuminga Had Interest in Joining the Bulls On a live stream from July 16, Fischer revealed that Kuminga had interest in joining the Bulls via sign-and-trade, but it was to join forces with Giddey on theBulls. Fischer also revealed why it didn't come to fruition. “I do know that Kuminga’s representation was trying to figure out some sign and trade scenario that would’ve gotten both Josh Giddey and Jonathan Kuminga paid in Chicago,” Fischer said. “I think that was something that would’ve been more likely if the Bulls waited and had Lonzo Ball sent back to Golden State instead of that deal that they already made with Cleveland. I think that would’ve been something that Golden State would’ve liked.” It sounds like Kuminga is interested in joining the Bulls, and the Warriors want Giddey. The only other factors at play are whether the Bulls want Kuminga and are willing to part ways with Giddey for him and whether Giddey has a mutual interest in joining Golden State. Giddey would give the Warriors another ball handler and playmaker, while Kuminga would give the Bulls a young scoring wing. Both sides would benefit, but given the restrictions of restricted free agency, everyone from all sides would have to play ball to make this work.
Green Bay Packers’ Xavier McKinney Gets Honest After Big Injury News
The Green Bay Packers are gearing up for their preseason opener against the New York Jets. Unfortunately, they are not going to have one of their best defensive players available to play in the game even if they wanted him to. Xavier McKinney has been ruled out for the rest of training camp and all three preseason games due to a calf injury. After signing a big four-year, $67 million contract with the Packers last offseason in NFL free agency, McKinney put together a big first year in the green and gold. He took on a major leadership role and was a dynamic playmaker in the secondary. In order to compete for a Super Bowl, Green Bay will need him healthy. Following the news of his injury, McKinney spoke out about the situation. He also offered some comforting words for Packers fans. “Obviously glad that we caught it when we caught it, so just kind of trying to take it slow and then the build-up, obviously,” McKinney said. “But I’ll be ready when it’s time to go, for sure.” During the 2024 season with Green Bay, McKinney played in all 17 regular season games. He racked up 88 total tackles to go along with a sack, a fumble recovery, eight interceptions, and 11 defended passes. Those numbers show just how big of an impact McKinney makes for the defense. Jeff Hafley was spoiled in his debut season as the team’s defensive coordinator by having him patrolling the final layer of his unit. Hopefully, McKinney will be able to recovery quickly and get back to 100 percent by Week 1 against the Detroit Lions. He sounds confident that he’ll be able to do just that.
