The 36-year-old daughter of the late Sen. John McCain was visited by her mother, Cindy McCain, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) as well as former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan before bidding her final farewell:

"Thank you all so much again for the privilege and honor it has been for the last four years to work on this show," said McCain, who joined the daytime talk show from Fox News in late 2017. "It really has been incredible. It will be referenced in everything I do for the rest of my life. You women have been so incredible to work with. The crew, the producers, everyone worked so hard, and honestly the audience giving me four years to give my opinion and show my perspective."
"This has been a really wild ride the past four years of my life," she continued. "It's been honestly the best of times and the worst of times in all ways, on and off this show. It's been a really incredible, liberating experience and I will always cherish the time I spent with all of you."
McCain announced July 1 her decision to leave her hosting seat. Her contract with ABC would have run for another two years, but she explained that the pandemic made her realize that she wanted to continue living in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Ben Domenech, and their infant daughter, Liberty:
McCain also credited her father for urging her to leave her comfort zone and accept the job before his August 2018 death due to brain cancer at 81 years old.
Launched by Barbara Walters, The View debuted Aug. 11, 1997, and just wrapped its 24th season on the air. Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin are the remaining hosts, though there have been rumors of a possible Debbie Matenopoulos return.
