Carrie Underwood has captivated fans with her rendition of NBC's "Sunday Night Football" anthem for the past 12 seasons. Will she continue do the same this upcoming NFL season?

Although it was never really in doubt, Underwood will be the lead singer for NBC's "Sunday Night Football" opening. This will mark her 13th consecutive season working with the NFL on NBC.

Underwood, an eight-time Grammy Award winner, will receive a bit of an upgrade for her opening son. At least that's what NBC's creative director for "Sunday Night Football" said this Wednesday.

"For the 20th season of SNF, we wanted to set the tone for the night by reimagining the anthem sound in a way that plays to Carrie’s powerhouse vocals, while visually creating a seamless blend of stylized shots and behind-the-scenes moments evoking the national roadshow that is Sunday Night Football, week after week in the fall," Tripp Dixon said.

Underwood briefly teased her new-and-improved song for NBC.

"We had a blast shooting the new opening at The Resorts World Theatre again," the country music singer said. "As always, Tripp and the creative team continue to raise the bar, bringing the high energy and stunning visuals that the Sunday Night Football audience has come to expect year after year. I can’t wait for the world to see it!"

For the past 14 years, "Sunday Night Football" has been primetime television’s No. 1 program. If we had to guess, that streak won't be broken this year.

This year's opener for "Sunday Night Football" will feature the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills in a playoff rematch. We can't wait to see what these two teams - and Carrie Underwood - have in store for everyone.
