"Only Murders in the Building" snags another Oscar winner for the cast of season five

Personally, we felt the fourth season of SAG Awards darling "Only Murders in the Building" was overstuffed with celebrities and cameos, and we were hoping the fifth season would pare things down. Technically, to date, that appears true, but that doesn't mean there won't be famous actors guest starring in season five.

However, if the castings are this intriguing, we can abide. Christolph Waltz has been adding to the upcoming season of "Only Murder in the Building" in a recurring role.

Waltz is best known for his two Oscar wins for Best Supporting Actor, both for Quentin Tarantino films. His turn in "Inglourious Basterds" broke the actor through in the United States and paved the way for, well, forgettable stuff like "The Green Hornet" and "Spectre," but such is life.

Regardless of how some of the big projects he's been attached to have panned out, Waltz's acting skills are not to be quibbled with, and adding him to the "Only Murders in the Building" milieu is intriguing to be sure. We just hope they aren't doing the obvious thing and casting the Austrian guy as the villain.

Keegan Michael-Key has also been announced as joining in on the festivities for the in-production fifth season of the Hulu hit. If they can just keep the famous guest stars down to countable on one hand, we'll appreciate it.
