"Teenage Mutant Ninjas Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" breathed some new life into the property, a reboot that finally seemed to work for people. It had a new, pretty fun animation style and moviegoers seemed to like the fact the teenaged characters were voiced by, you know, kids. Well, if you were looking forward to the sequel "Mutant Mayhem 2," you're going to have to wait a little longer.
Owing to the time it takes for feature-length animated films to come together, "Mutant Mayhem 2" was already scheduled for October 9, 2026. Not exactly a quick turnaround off of the success of the first movie as is. Now, though, Paramount has pushed the movie almost a calendar year, all the way to September 17, 2027.
However, kids and those who don't relinquish the pop culture of their childhoods need not fret. You can still make plans to go to the theater on October 9, 2026 potentially. That day Paramount's "The Last Airbender" reboot movie will now be released. "The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender" is getting a delay of its own, though, as it was original schedule for January 30, 2026.
Purportedly animation issues caused both delays, although Paramount did also move "Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie" up a week to July 24, 2026. Huh, it's almost like "Paw Patrol" is animated in a lot cheaper, low-quality of a fashion and audiences that young aren't considered the least bit discerning about such things.
