Paramount Plus drops first trailer for 'iCarly' revival series

iCarly said goodbye to Nickelodeon in November 2012 after a successful six-season run.

Paramount Plus is gearing up to say hello again, and the streaming service has shared the first official trailer for the iCarly revival series:

"Ten years after signing off of one of TV's most iconic shows, Carly, Spencer, and Freddie are back, navigating the next chapter of their lives, facing the uncertainties of life in their twenties," the official description explains.

iCarly was ahead of its time when it debuted in 2007, as it followed Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) as the host of a popular "home-grown web show," which is now known as a vlog or YouTube channel, called iCarly. Basically, Carly was an influencer before there was a word for it.

The series also starred Nathan Kress as Freddie Benson and Jennette McCurdy as Sam Puckett, Carly's best friends, as well as Jerry Trainor as her older brother Spencer. Cosgrove, Kress and Trainer all reprised their roles.

"I'm in a whole different position now working on the revival than I was when I was a kid, because I'm actually an executive producer on it," Cosgrove told Complex in late May. "So I'm getting to help edit all the episodes, and I get to read all the drafts and the scripts and give notes and everything. That’s just been a whole new thing for me."

The 28-year-old continued: "I've never done anything like this before, and it feels really good, going from being a kid on a show and not really having a whole lot of control over what my character did in episodes or anything like that, to now getting to be such a big part of the process. So I’m really happy. I'm happy, and I'm grateful to have that opportunity to do it this way, and kind of revisit that character and just see how it goes. I hope people like it and it just makes people laugh."

iCarly will hit Paramount Plus on June 17.
