Taylor Swift always chooses her words very carefully, so of course, she was going to pick the perfect ones to announce that she has finally gotten her fairytale ending.
On Tuesday, Swift posted a series of photos on Instagram announcing that she and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had gotten engaged after two years of dating. And after the initial shock wore off, with fans everywhere celebrating the incredible news, the special meanings in Swift's caption became apparent.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married ," Swift wrote.
So let's get into the real meaning behind this.
On Swift's album, The Tortured Poets Department, she dedicated her song, "So High School," to the tight end, writing about how their relationship took her back to being young and in love. And the caption directly referenced one of the lines in the song.
"the caption being a direct reference to “you know how to ball i know aristotle”… the song on the post literally being a song she wrote about falling in love with him…. i CAAAAANT I CANNTKRKDKDKE," one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
And then there's the dynamite emoji.
"THE DYNAMITE EMOJI BC THEYRE TNT," a fan pointed out.
Plus, when Swift reposted the news on her Instagram story, she set "So High School" to play in the background.
Swift finally got her Love Story, with a man who does The Archer pose at every Chiefs game and looks at her like she's Bigger Than the Whole Sky. She's found her Forever & Always.
