Taylor Swift has her fans buzzing after her official website launched a mysterious countdown. The website ( TaylorSwift.com) shows an orange glittering background with a countdown overlayed that would end at 12:12 a.m. ET on Aug. 12.
The countdown comes after the New Heights podcast announced that Taylor Swift would appear on the show on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. New Heights is hosted by former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce and his brother, Kansas Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce . Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating since 2023.

Fans believe that Swift will announce a new album once the countdown expires. She has done this in the past, and with her upcoming album being her 12th, the countdown makes sense since it ends at 12:12 a.m. ET on Aug. 12.
In 2024, Swift released The Tortured Poets Department, and the album earned two Grammy nominations. Before that, Swift came out with Midnights in 2022 and two albums in 2020 (Folklore and Evermore).
If it is a new album, it comes as Swift is getting ready to support Kelce for the 2025 NFL season. Both are hoping that the upcoming season ends better than in 2024, as the Chiefs fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
Because Swift is dating Kelce, she has appeared in numerous NFL games, including the last two Super Bowls. In April 2024, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell talked about the impact Swift has had on the league.
“There’s some things you can control or not control. Anybody who’s interested in the NFL, that’s good for me and good for everybody involved in the NFL,” Goodell explained. “You get somebody with the kind of exposure and the following like Taylor Swift, who does love football, I’ve known her for 15 years. I first met her in New Orleans.
“She loves the game, so that’s great for us,” Goodell continued. “Take the relationship out of it, which if they’re happy, I’m happy.”
