Timothee Chalamet was the guest picker for "College GameDay" on Saturday, and he looked like a pro after correctly picking an upset. The pregame show was in Atlanta, Georgia, for the SEC Championship Game between No. 2 Texas and No. 5 Georgia.
Chalamet is an American and French actor who has appeared in several movies. He plays Paul Atreides in the "Dune" franchise and has acted in other films like "Wonka," "Don't Look Up," and "Little Women."
Ohio and Miami (OH) faced off in a special edition of the "Battle of the Bricks" rivalry at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, for a chance to win the MAC title. Miami (OH) was a two-and-a-half-point favorite on ESPN BET before kickoff.
Chalamet joined Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, and Nick Saban at the desk to make picks for the weekend's games.
Everyone picked the Redhawks to win the contest, but Chalamet went with his gut and chose differently. Chalamet picked Ohio to pull off the upset, and it was the right decision, as the Bobcats won the MAC title over Miami (OH) 38-3.
Chalamet showcased his college football knowledge, referencing Ohio quarterback Parker Navarro's 65% completion percentage. Navarro finished the game with 235 passing yards and two touchdowns.
"I'm looking at fourth-year Bobcats quarterback Parker Navarro," Chalamet said. "65% percent completion rate. If he can get going, he'll tilt this for the Bobcats. I'm going underdog Bobcats here."
I'm crying that Timothee Chalamet did what I said as a joke, and he started talking about the Ohio Bobcats QB Parker Navarro https://t.co/Pd9pBi7kOM pic.twitter.com/HlOh6rQ2am

Ohio's defense showed up, limiting Miami (OH) to three points. The Bobcats are second in total offensive yards allowed (304.1) in the MAC and lead the conference in rushing yards allowed per game (97).
The MAC championship was played at the stadium of the top team in the conference from 1997-03. The conference decided to move the game to Ford Field in 2004, and has been played there ever since.
The Miami (OH)-Ohio rivalry was first played in 1908. Despite the loss, Miami (OH) still holds the edge in the rivalry with an all-time 56-42-2 record against Ohio. The Redhawks' two-game winning streak against Ohio was snapped with the loss.
Saturday was Ohio's sixth all-time appearance in the MAC Championship Game, but the Bobcats had never won. Ohio reached the MAC title game in 2022 but lost to Toledo 17-7 that season.
Ohio enters bowl season at 10-3, while Miami (OH) moved to 8-5 with the loss.
