With a new era of Dynamite kicking off Wednesday, AEW also debuted a new theme song for the show: one that both was a pop hit in the early 1980s and one that is considerably different than what wrestling fans are used to. The Pointer Sisters’ “I’m So Excited” greeted fans on both TBS and the Max streaming service for Wednesday’s show, paired with the usual montage of video clips that also included Big Boom AJ and his son, Big Justice. It also included clips of Shaquille O’Neal and Snoop Dogg’s AEW appearances as well. The song debuted in September 1982 and hit number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 list with a re-release in July 1984 hitting number nine. Wednesday’s show was notable as it’s the first to simulcast on both TBS and Max. AEW head Tony Khan announced earlier Wednesday that Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)” will return as the Collision theme song starting Saturday. Source
