The company has been around for decades, appealing to many cable viewers with DISH's extensive channel lineup and package offerings. No matter what you’re looking for — sports, family entertainment, news or premium channels — DISH has something for everyone.
Whether you’re an existing DISH customer or seeking out the service for the first time, we can help you learn how to start or move your service. And, if you’re ready to cut the cord with DISH, we’ve got that covered, too.
Read on to learn how to establish, move or cancel your service with DISH.

DISH’s packages feature more sports, news and entertainment programming than most of its competitors, making it an appealing choice for many who want to stick with a traditional satellite service over today’s streaming options. You can even watch online via the DISH Anywhere app.
Currently, DISH is even sweetening the deal for those who begin service for the first time. You can enjoy a $100 prepaid Mastercard when you sign up online with a two-year agreement and autopay. The deal also includes 12 free months of DISH’s Heartland pack of 14 extra family-friendly channels. To sign up and claim your offer, follow a few simple steps:
DISH also offers deals for first responders, active military members, veterans and customers ages 55 and over. Visit the DISH site for a full list of deals.
If you’re an existing DISH customer, the company makes it easy to move your service. DISH offers satellite TV in all 50 states, plus Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. With nine satellites orbiting over the U.S., the company can deliver its signal to every ZIP code in the country.
When you’re ready to move to your new address, call DISH customer service at 1-877-839-2110 to provide your new address and schedule a date and time for your free installation. You can also choose any equipment upgrades you’d like to make at that time.
Whether or not you plan to upgrade, you’ll need to bring all your DISH equipment (other than the satellite dish) to your new home. Your installer will collect any equipment you won’t be using when they arrive. Once you’ve moved in, go ahead and set up your TVs and internet service before your installation appointment. You can also pay to have your DISH installer do this for you.
While you wait for your new setup, don’t forget that you can enjoy your DISH service anytime from the DISH Anywhere app.
If you’re unhappy with your DISH service for any reason, you can cancel anytime. To terminate your service, call 1-866-974-0769 or look in your service contract for other options. If you’re still under your two-year contract, you’ll have to pay a service fee of $20 per month remaining in your agreement.
DISH also offers options to temporarily pause your service or change your package to lower your monthly bill. Call 1-866-974-1695 to explore alternatives to canceling your service.
Yes, DISH offers a special deal for customers ages 55 and over. The deal includes one free movie rental each month and six free months of DISH Protect Plus, the company’s equipment protection plan that includes free service visits.
DISH has ranked in the top spot for customer satisfaction among cable TV providers in J.D. Power’s annual National TV Satisfaction Awards for six consecutive years.
DISH offers plenty of live international and national sports action. We recommend starting with the America’s Top 120 Plus package, which includes popular networks like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, Big Ten Network, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), ACCN, SEC Network and more. If you’re looking for regional sports networks, however, DISH comes up short.
