Vidgo is a relatively new player in the streaming universe, but it’s evolving quickly to carve out a niche with cord-cutters. The platform leans toward sports programming with channels like ESPN, FS1, MLB Network, NFL Network and NHL Network, but it also offers an extensive list of entertainment and news on channels such as A&E, Comedy Central, Food Network and more. It also includes one of the largest libraries of on-demand content you can find today.

That said, Vidgo isn’t for everyone. There are some notable omissions from the lineup, and some of the service’s extra features are slim or a little clunky. Read on to learn more about Vidgo channels, pricing and features to decide if it’s right for you.

What packages does Vidgo offer?

Vidgo currently offers four packages — three main options featuring English and Spanish programming and one that’s built exclusively for Spanish-speaking viewers. The basic plan offers over 110 channels, including an impressive lineup of sports networks. From there, you can add around 40–60 more channels with the Premium and Ultimate plans.

All plans are ad-supported, include 20 hours of DVR and allow for viewing on up to three devices at once. Plus, regardless of which plan you choose, you’ll have full access to Vidgo’s library of more than 14,000 on-demand titles.

Plus

Vidgo’s Plus plan offers a lot of value, especially for sports fans. How much is Vidgo? For a basic Vidgo cost of $69.99 per month, you’ll find more than 20 popular sports networks here, including staples like the ESPN networks, FS1 and FS2, MLB Network, NFL Network, NHL Network and college-focused channels like ACCN, Big 10 Network, SEC Network and the Pac-12 networks.

Beyond that, Plus offers around 90 additional Vidgo channels with a range of news and entertainment programming. Popular offerings include ABC News Live, A&E, Animal Planet, BET, Comedy Central, Discovery, Food Network, Fox News, HGTV, MTV, Nickelodeon and VH1. You’ll get Vidgo local channels like ABC and Fox here, too, but CBS, PBS and NBC are conspicuously absent. As in all Vidgo plans, there are some other significant omissions here — popular channels like AMC, BBC, CNN, TBS, TNT and USA are nowhere to be found.

Premium

For $15 more per month, you can upgrade to the Vidgo Premium plan. This adds over 40 channels to your subscription. In addition to anchor channels like BET and MTV, you’ll get extras like BET Her and MTV2 alongside other bonus networks like Crackle, HSN and Nicktoons. None of these is particularly popular, but there’s plenty of niche programming here to enjoy. This package is ideal for viewers who want more of what particular network families such as BET, MTV and Nickelodeon have to offer. Sports fans will notice one big highlight, too: the addition of NFL RedZone.

Ultimate

At the top of Vidgo’s options is the Ultimate plan. This is a newer package to the Vidgo lineup, and it’s geared toward bilingual households looking for plenty of programming in English and Spanish. For a top-tier Vidgo cost of $99.99 a month, you’ll get everything in the Premium plan, plus more than 15 additional Spanish channels, including Centroamerica TV, Discovery en Español, History Channel en Español, Nat Geo Mundo and Sony Cine. Essentially, this plan combines Vidgo’s Premium and Vidgo Mas plans.

Vidgo Mas

The Vidgo Mas plan focuses solely on Vidgo’s extensive Spanish-language lineup. For $39.99 per month, you’ll get more than 45 Spanish-speaking channels featuring a well-rounded lineup of sports, entertainment and news programming, including Discovery Familia, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, History Channel en Español, Nat Geo Mundo, Noticias 24, Telenovelas, TUDN, TyC Sports and Univision.

What channels does Vidgo offer?

Vidgo channel lineup Colin Kirk

Vidgo offers a wide range of channels, and its lineup caters to mainstream and niche programming. You’ll find many of your top sports channels here, such as ACCN, ESPN, FS1, MLB Network, NFL Network and MotorTrend, alongside popular entertainment networks like CMT, Discovery Channel, Disney Channel, FX and HGTV. You’ll also find a fair amount of news programming and local channels, with ABC, Bloomberg TV, Cheddar News, Fox and NewsNation. Vidgo also rivals other Spanish-focused streaming services like FuboTV for its Spanish language content.

That said, it’s worth noting some significant gaps in the Vidgo channel lineup. You won’t find your Vidgo local channels like CBS, PBS or NBC, and you might be surprised not to find popular channels like CNN, CBS Sports Network, MSNBC, TBS, TNT and USA.

What add-ons does Vidgo offer?

Apart from the option to upgrade your plan to the next level, Vidgo does not currently offer any add-ons. If you want to add premium services like Cinemax, Max and SHOWTIME or full-season sports plans like NFL Sunday Ticket, you won’t find these options on Vidgo.

Vidgo free trial and deals

Although Vidgo has offered free trials in the past, the streaming service is not currently offering this type of deal for viewers. If you want to try out the service, you’ll need to sign up and pay for a full month. You can cancel any time within that month to avoid being charged a second time.

How to watch Vidgo

Vidgo isn’t available on quite as many devices as some of its competitors, but you can stream Vidgo channels and on-demand content from the most popular streaming devices, including Android and iOS devices, Apple TV, Android TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, Roku and your computer’s web browser. To get started, choose your plan from Vidgo’s home page, sign up and pay and download the Vidgo app on your favorite device or start streaming right from your browser.

Is Vidgo worth it?

Vidgo fills a void in the streaming market that will thrill some cord-cutters. For a reasonable Vidgo cost, you can get access to a lot of live sports and a nice selection of popular channels, plus a vast on-demand library. If you’re looking for specific programs, though, it’s a good idea to double-check Vidgo’s channel list before you sign up. Some of the most popular networks aren’t currently in the mix, and that may be enough to steer you elsewhere.
