The long-awaited sequel to Adam Sandler's hit sports-comedy Happy Gilmore is coming soon with Happy Gilmore 2 slated to release on Netflix in the months to come. One of the many celebrities given a role in the film was Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

During the trailer reveal for the film this past December, Kelce had a small speaking role as an apparent clubhouse employee on a golf course. Fans have been trying to grab every single detail they could about the long-anticipated film and in a recent interview, Sandler gave them a taste.

Sandler was recently asked to rate Kelce's performance in the film and without hesitation the movie star gave him "a 12" and declared that Kelce was "funny as hell."

"A 12. Funny as hell. Funny as hell. No kidding - unbelievable!"

Kelce has been trying his hand at acting over the past few years, getting a number of roles either as himself or as characters in various shows. 2024 saw him make his debut as the fictional character Ed Lachlan in the FX original series Grotesquerie along with the host of the Amazon Prime Video game show Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?

While Kelce isn't likely to earn any Oscars or Emmys anytime soon, he clearly loves being in front of the camera for fun projects.

Happy Gilmore 2 is the upcoming sequel to the 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore , where Adam Sandler played a violent hockey player who goes into golf. A number of the original cast members are slated to reprise their roles, such as Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller and Dennis Dugan.

The cast is also filled to the brim with celebrities from music, sports and entertainment such as Kelce, Dan Patrick, Eminem, Becky Lynch, Bad Bunny, Reggie Bush, Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Benny Safdie, not to mention a slew of famous golfers such as Collin Morikawa, John Daly, Jack Nicklaus and Xander Schauffele just to name a few.

The film does not yet have a release date but will be a Netflix-exclusive film.

What's your prediction for the role Kelce plays?
