Alabama is fighting to earn a commitment from five-star pass rusher Tank Jones out of Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul Episcopal. The instate standout has been heavily pursued by pretty much all of the top programs in the country, but he's down to Alabama, Oregon and Texas A&M.

Tide fans understand the importance of landing a talent such as Jones. Not only would the ultra-talented defender be a fantastic fit in Kane Wommack's defense as a guy who can play Bandit and possibly even Wolf, but he currently checks in as the top-ranked player in the state, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.

After struggling with instate recruiting in DeBoer's first cycle at Alabama, the Tide currently have commitments from the No. 2 (Cederian Morgan), No. 3 (Ezavier Crowell) and No. 4 (Zyan Gibson) players from the state. Adding Jones would give them the top four.

And with that importance, Alabama fans are doing their part to help recruit Jones to Tuscaloosa. On Monday, Jones "Door Dashed" himself dinner from Wingstop. It was apparently the first time he'd used his actual name on his orders, and whoever put the delivery together decided to send him a quick and easy message: "Roll Tide."

At this point, UA fans probably want to find out who wrote the message and make sure they're well-compensated with tips moving forward. Every little bit can help when it comes to recruiting, and this certainly got Jones' attention.

Last week, he told Rivals/On3 that Alabama was standing out the most, but Oregon is doing everything it can to handle the talented five-star recruit. The expectation is for Jones to have a decision by the end of July or in early August, but no official commitment date has been announced.
