The Wisconsin Badgers have continued to heavily pursue the 2027 recruiting class as many players are beginning to cut down on schools.

As seasons progress and recruits grow closer and closer to making potential commitment decisions, many programs renew recruiting efforts in order to stay within striking distance. One such recruit who has seen some programs step-up recruiting efforts as of late would be 2027 three-star safety Brady Scott. The Tabor Academy (MA) defender is a rising recruit who currently has plenty of interested programs from the Big Ten Conference in particular.

Tabor Academy is set to produce a new generation of athletes after previously having little luck sending players to major programs. Four-star 2027 quarterback Peter Bourque and four-star defensive lineman Carter Gooden highlight the talent set to depart the program in the future.

Wisconsin Badgers Among Top Programs Recruiting 2027 Safety Brady Scott

Scott recently sat down with 247Sports and provided insight into which programs are currently pursuing him the most aggressively at the moment. Wisconsin, Indiana, and Penn State have been the three programs that have stood out the most in terms of connections and contact.

Wisconsin offered Scott a scholarship back in April and have kept very consistent contact with the recruit since doing so. Scott was on campus for the spring showcase camps when safeties coach Jack Cooper extended the scholarship. Cooper has been the primary line of contact between the Badgers and Scott previously stated that the Badgers were “at the top” following his visit.

Penn State has already hosted Scott four times now and the program is no stranger to recruiting northeastern academies for top talent. Scott just recently visited the Nittany Lions and had very positive things to say about the visit despite the current state of the team. Plenty of time has passed since Scott last spoke on his relationship with Wisconsin in detail, and the Nittany Lions could be the new leader.

Indiana is an interesting program that has entered the fight after offering a scholarship in May and being the newest face out of the current top three. The Hoosiers have played the best football out of the three teams and have let the performances on the field speak for themselves.

Scott did not speak in specifics about some other programs that have been involved, but Syracuse, Rutgers, Minnesota, and Iowa have all kept contact with the recruit. Syracuse hosted Scott twice last season and once during the spring as the program continues to prioritize the recruit.

The talented defender remains a priority recruit for the Badgers and the pursuit of Scott moving forward will be interesting. With on-field play being considered, many of the programs hunting for a commitment out of Scott are relatively in the same boat production wise aside from Indiana. What factors mean the most to Scott will be tested in the future as the season continues to play out for all the parties involved.
